Need Of this Project
Many people think that their health is something only their doctors should be worried about. After all, they are the experts and they are the ones who know what to do if they should find something wrong with you. However, you should take charge of your health as well by taking the time to monitor your health. In just minutes a day, you can find out where your health is at and then take the appropriate steps. Your doctor can't be with you every day, but you can check up on yourself, helping to spot problems before they become bigger problems.with an additional health monitoring system, you can quickly find out if your body is having troubles with medications or with other treatments. You can see the results on your computer screen, allowing you to decide whether you need to speak with your doctor or not. Some people will find that this system works as another member of their health team, allowing them to have an objective opinion of their health and what they need to do about it - if anything. Though you might not be able to monitor the disease specifically, all conditions will affect different parts of the body. So, if one part of the body is out of sync, then you might want to look to the rest of your body for illness or may ask you to consult doctor based on the status of your body

Aim

this project propose a multifunctional health monitoring system its an electro medical system that can measure:
height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, pulse rate, body fat percentage, and body fat mass.and analyse the data by a computer and sophisticated program(algorithm) may say you "you are ill so take rest".. for completing this project we need best assistance with a doctor


Technology Used


Height Measurement:

Technology: Ultrasonic sensor
Measurement: By time interval between the sound pulse is transmitted to the echo is received.


Weight Measurement:

Technology: Strain-gauge load cells
Measurement: It convert the load acting on them into electrical signals and we will use micro-controller to program this voltage output.


Body Mass Index (BMI):

A statistical measure of the weight of a person scaled according to height. BMI is a better indicator of health risk than absolute body weight and a useful screening tool to access malnutrition and fatness.
As a rough guideline for adults a BMI of less than 20 implies underweight, over 25 is overweight, and over 30 is obese.


Body Fat Index (Body Fat Percentage)
:Technology: Bio-impedance technique
It is simply the percentage of fat your body contains.
body fat mass + lean body mass = total mass (body weight)

Measurement:
The change in electrical resistance in body tissues by using a detectable electrical signal that is passed through the body.


Blood Pressure:

Technology: Oscilometric Method
Measurement: An air-filled cuff is wrapped around the patient's wrist. As the cuff is allowed to deflate, pressure data is recorded by the device. Devices measure the mean systolic and diastolic.
