A foundation is designed to support and distribute the weight of the entire structure evenly to prevent sloping or collapse. The foundation needs to be capable of supporting a pre-designed superstructure without overloading the soil and causing a structural failure.

Understanding subsurface conditions is critical to the design, construction, and maintenance of foundations for buildings, earth structures, highways, roads, and marine projects. It requires knowledge of geology, structural engineering, and the mechanics of soil and rock. It is also necessary to study the site by collecting information on any historic information, climate, structural loads and settlement criteria of the proposed structure.

Our strong understanding of geological conditions combined with intensive local experience allows our professionals to provide the critical geotechnical information required for project design. Subsurface exploration is coordinated and reviewed by highly trained employees and the use of the in-house laboratory testing of sampled soil and rock, we are able to assess key geotechnical properties and determine specific parameters for classification.

Our professionals are able to determine the type of foundation, be it shallow or deep, best suited to each construction site.
I need this for my seminar. I need different foundation design techniques. please help me with it.
