As we know that thoughts and messages can not be directly sent from the mind of the sender to the mind of the receiver some medium or channel has to be used. In order to understand this, we will have to study the forms of communication. Let us have a look at the following :
(a) Verbal : Oral and written . Communication through listening and reading
(b) Face-to Face
© Non-verbal : Facial expressions, gestures, body language, silence, signs and signals, graphs, charts, snaps and colours
2.1 VERBAL COMMUNICATION :
Communication by using language is called verbal communication. Communication through other symbols is called non-verbal communication. Each is sub-divided into two : (a) Verbal Oral and Written (b) Non-Verbal Kinesics Communication (Visual) and Meta Communication (Aural).
