OBJECTIVE:
In order to prevent thrombogenesis in the artifical heart, a prototype ultrasound thrombolysis system is developed.
Thrombus formation in artificial hearts remains a key risk factor in the death of patients. So, the system is assumed to work continously, dissolving micro thrombi before they can grow.
The purpose of this study is to develop the system that can be mounted in the artificial heart.

Introduction:
Patients requiring heart transplantation is increasing yearly.
The development of implantable artificial hearts has progressed remarkably.
Artificial hearts used in extracorporeal circulation have a serious problem involving thrombus formation.
