Operation of Tiptronic Transmission
A Tiptronic transmission is an automatic transmission that can be controlled like a manual transmission. a computer selects the suitable gear in a standard automatic transmission but in tiptronic transmission system, this control is given to the driver.

Automatic With Manual Feel

The major goal of the designers of tiptronic transmission was to give the driver more control of the car's performance and approximate the feel of a manual transmission , at the same time maintaining the easiness of drive as an automatic car. a manual transmission design was attempted that worked like the autromatic, but the tiptronic approach has had the upper hand.

Operation
Until the tiptronic system is activated, the system performs like a normal automatic transmission. When the driver activates the Tiptronic system, the transmission ceases to shift automatically. and relies on the driver to change gears. The the gears are controlled with paddle-shifters which are attached to the steering wheels.

Driving With a Tiptronic
This system sometimes offers a performance setting in which the automatic transmission shifts gear at higher RPMs to simulate the feeling of a sports car. This system or a similar one is used by many manufacturers in their models.
