  GENERATION OF PAYSLIP
Posted by: TR10401 - 08-16-2017, 08:43 PM - Forum: Computer Science Project Ideas - Replies (2)

GENERATION OF PAYSLIP

Name: K.Avinash, Name: MD.Azeem
Roll No: 07621A0566, Roll No: 07621A0594
Branch: cse-B,3rd year Branch: cse-B,3rd year

ABSTRACT

Title of the project: GENERATION OF PAYSLIP
Existing System:

In previous days every organization uses manual pay slips to employees consisting of various calculations, for this one has to refer many records and he has to do all the things manually, here there going to be lot of time wastage and prone of errors. As an industry norms database must be under control of database administrator, which means no other user can access the database. To avoid these types of problems Generation of Pay slip was introduced.
Proposed System:
Generation of Pay slip is an organization standard tool for salary information. Using Database Interface, developers can interact with any back end software (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, MS-Access, My-SQL etc). The Generation of Pay slip can be used to communicate with database and used retrieve the information from database of a employee. In Generation of Pay slip users can create and edit database objects such as tables, views, indexes, constraints, and users.
In general this tool will be used in all types companies for giving salary details such as deductions, increments, allowances which are related to employee. By using this tool we can easily generate a pay slip.

Project Analysis:

The application consist of four modules
Application Setup Module
Master Setup Module
Employee Profile Module
Pay-Slip Generation
Reports

MODULE DESCRIPTION:
Application Setup Module

The "Application Module" of Payroll Management Software helps you to customize the software as per the requirements of the organization. In this module, the user inputs the company details, the fiscal year of the organization, the currency and other details.
The Fiscal Year of the organization.
Allows user to make auto or manual generation of ID.
Master Setup Module
Using this module the user can set up any number of branches, create any number and type of departments within a branch. Then it inputs the employee related information as in which group institute/department he is recruited.
Employee Profile Module

At the time of employment an employee profile is generated in which all relevant data regarding the employee is captured. At this time the user is given the option to either enter the details of remuneration and deductions manually or through a group/grade/scale system. Gathered information of the employee allows the user to make changes in the allowances and deductions (already assigned to the employee) for that particular month as per the requirements. After this the gross salary is calculated automatically for that month. The 12th month pay slip serves as the yearly statement of accounts and can be used as a certificate of income for the Income Tax purposes.
Pay-Slip Generation

The monthly Pay-Slips are divided into two parts; the emoluments and deductions for the current month and the same for the year to date.
Reports
The Payroll Software can generate different reports as per the user requirements. The three groups that cover these reports are Employee Reports, Pay related Reports, General Reports
.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Operating System : Windows(2000,2007,vista)
Front End : Java (JDBC, Servlets, JSP),Html, JavaScript,
Web Server : Tomcat1.6
Back End : Database (MS.Sql Server 2005)

Distributed Medium Access control for Next Generation CDMA Wireless Networks

Generic Distributed Network Model

we focus on a generic network model where a number of wireless mobile nodes are organized in a flat fashion, communicating with each other via one-hop or multiple-hop connections without any central control. Connections to outside correspondence nodes are supported through a gateway (e.g., in the wireless backbone) or an access point (e.g.,in ad hoc networks or WPAN).
In the past decade, code-division multiple access (CDMA) technology has been developed and deployed popularly with great success in the second-generation (2G) cellular systems (e.g., IS-95). It also been selected as the major multiple access technology for the third-generation (3G) systems. CDMA has many promising merits such as universal frequency reuse, soft handoff, and high spectrum efficiency.

Desired Features of Distributed MAC:

A MAC scheme is to coordinate the mobile nodes access to the shared medium such that efficiency can be achieved. Although MAC schemes in traditional cellular networks and WLAN have been extensively studied in the literature, more efforts are still needed for distributed MAC supporting multimedia traffic in the network without a central controller.
In a centralized network such as the cellular network, the central controller makes decisions on when and how the mobile nodes should access the medium. However, in a network without a central controller, MAC is carried out in a collectively coordinated manner, where a mobile node determines its access behavior according to its local observation.

Features Of Distributed MAC:

Quality of service (QOS) support
Service differentiation
Low overhead
Bandwidth Efficiency

Distributed Code Assignment

Generally, before a transmission, the transmitter and receiver need to know the code (sequence) to be used. In cellular networks, the BS collects information from all the nodes, and informs them what codes are used in upcoming transmissions. However, as our network model dose not have central authority, distributed code assignment is desired.

There are three kinds of codes that can be used

Common code
Receiver based code
Transmitter based code

Distributed Interference Control

By proper code assignment to the CDMA transmissions, collisions among them can be avoided. However the interference among simultaneous transmissions with unique codes should also be managed Generally, power control can be applied to manage the interference levels in the network, targeting at guaranteed transmission accuracy of each link. Power control can be executed in two manners: global or incremental.
A global power control approach re-assigns the power levels of all the links in the network at any time when there is a change in page link activities, e.g., when a new page link is admitted or an existing page link is completed.
In the incremental power control, it is important for a candidate transmitter to know the interference tolerance level of active links.

The Proposed Distributed MAC

In our network model, the MAC is to coordinate the one-hop transmission from a transmitter to one of its neighbors. Each node has its own transmitting code and receiving code, the information of which is available to its neighbors through some information exchanges in the routing protocol.

CONCLUSION

We have discussed the limitations of existing distributed CDMA-based MAC schemes when applied to our generic network model with distributed control. By letting active receivers estimate potential increase in the interference level, our proposed MAC scheme can achieve bit-level QoS, low overhead, accurate channel and interference estimation, and high bandwidth efficiency.

Global warming mitigation potential of biogas plants in India
Posted by: balaji_satish - 08-16-2017, 08:43 PM - Forum: Electronics-Electrical-Instrumentation-Applied Electronics Related Project Ideas - No Replies

[attachment=14550]
Abstract
Biogas technology, besides supplying
energy and manure, provides an excellent opportunity
for mitigation of greenhouse gas (GHG)
emission and reducing global warming through
substituting firewood for cooking, kerosene for
lighting and cooking and chemical fertilizers. A
study was undertaken to calculate (1) global
warming mitigation potential (GMP) and thereby
earning carbon credit of a family size biogas plant
in India, (2) GMP of the existing and target biogas
plants in the country and (3) atmospheric
pollution reduction by a family size biogas plant.
The GMP of a family size biogas plant was 9.7 t
CO2 equiv. year 1 and with the current price
of US $10 t 1 CO2 equiv., carbon credit of US
$97 year 1 could be earned from such reduction
in greenhouse gas emission under the clean development
mechanism (CDM). A family size biogas
plant substitutes 316 L of kerosene, 5,535 kg
firewood and 4,400 kg cattle dung cake as fuels
which will reduce emissions of NOx, SO2, CO and
volatile organic compounds to the atmosphere by
16.4, 11.3, 987.0 and 69.7 kg year 1, respectively.
Presently 3.83 million biogas plants are operating
in the country, which can mitigate global warming
by 37 Mt CO2 equiv. year 1. Government
of India has a target of installing 12.34 million
biogas plants by 2010. This target has a GMP of
120 Mt CO2 equiv. year 1 and US $1,197 million
as carbon credit under the CDM. However, if all
the collectible cattle dung (225 Mt) produced in
the country is used, 51.2 million family size biogas
plants can be supported which will have a GMP
of 496 Mt of CO2 equiv. year 1 and can earn US
$4,968 million as carbon credit. The reduction in
global warming should encourage policy makers
to promote biogas technology to combat climate
change and integration of carbon revenues will
help the farmers to develop biogas as a profitable
activity.

Posted by: electrazy - 08-16-2017, 08:43 PM - Forum: Industrial Visit Report - No Replies

Prefabrication is the practice of assembling components of a structure in a factory or other manufacturing site, and transporting complete assemblies or sub-assemblies to the construction site where the structure is to be located. The term is used to distinguish this process from the more conventional construction practice of transporting the basic materials to the construction site where all assembly is carried out.

The term prefabrication also applies to the manufacturing of things other than structures at a fixed site. It is frequently used when fabrication of a section of a machine or any movable structure is shifted from the main manufacturing site to another location, and the section is supplied assembled and ready to fit. It is not generally used to refer to electrical or electronic components of a machine, or mechanical parts such as pumps, gearboxes and compressors which are usually supplied as separate items, but to sections of the body of the machine which in the past were fabricated with the whole machine. Prefabricated parts of the body of the machine may be called 'sub-assemblies' to distinguish them from the other components.

program for solar tracker using microcontroller 8051
Posted by: Abishek bhardwaj - 08-16-2017, 08:43 PM - Forum: Industrial Visit Report - No Replies

Solar energy is becoming increasingly attractive as we struggle with global climate change. However, while solar energy is free, non-polluting, and inexhaustible, solar panels are fixed. As such, they can not take advantage of maximum sunlight as weather conditions and seasons change. A solar panel receives most of the sunlight when it is perpendicular to the sun's rays, but the direction of sunlight changes regularly with changing seasons and time. Currently, most solar panels are fixed, ie the solar array has a fixed orientation to the sky and does not rotate to follow the sun. To increase the illumination of the sunshine unit area in solar panels, we design a solar power generation system of tracking. The design mechanism supports the solar panel and allows the panel to perform approximately hemispherical (3-D) rotation to observe the movement of the sun during the day and improve overall electricity generation. This system can achieve maximum illumination and concentration of energy and reduce the cost of electricity by requiring less solar panels, therefore, is of great importance for research and development. The main use of this report is to use the maximum power of the sun. Now one day we are in great need of using solar energy as in the next few days everything we use could depend on such systems.

Solar energy refers to the use of radiant energy from the sun. Solar energy is used interchangeably with solar energy, but refers more specifically to the conversion of sunlight into electricity by photovoltaic, concentrating solar thermal devices, or by an experimental technology, such as a solar chimney or solar pond. Solar panels are photovoltaic cells that give direct voltage if you place them in the sunlight. If you change the position of the panels, the output power will vary. Media, direct sunlight in the solar panel can give a good outlet otherwise there could be decrease in the value of your outputs. So we have to follow the path where it will reach the maximum power. Solar panel devices are of two types that collect energy from the sun. One is solar photovoltaic modules that use solar cells to convert sunlight into electricity and the other is the solar thermal collector that converts the energy of the sun to heat water or other fluid like oil or antifreeze. Implementation of an application program using C built-in and loading the program into the microcontroller via ISP (in the system programmer) and read the data from the sensors via ADC MCP3208 and according to the data step engine is Rotating. The stepper motor is not connected directly to the microcontroller which is connected via ULN2003. The main use of this project is to use the maximum power of the sun. Now one day we are in great need of using solar energy as in the next few days everything we use could depend on such systems.
