These considerations may include range related issues, power requirements, 900 MHz versus 2.4 GHz transmission bands, interference immunity and time-to-market issues
Advantages of Cellular Networks
More capacity due to spectral reuse
Lower transmission power due to smaller transmitter/receiver distances
More robust system as Base Station problem only effects the immediate cell
More predictable propagation environment due to shorter distances
