PROJECT ON TELEMEDICINE - manasa171 - 10-06-2017 PROJECT ON TELEMEDICINE [attachment=726] Introduction : Telemedicine is the application of telecommunication and computer technology to deliver health and care from one location to another. Telemedicine is a rapidly developing application of clinical medicine where medical information is transferred through interactive audiovisual media for the purpose of consulting. Telemedicine refers to the use of communication and information delivery of clinical care. The telemedicine technology includes hardware, software, medical equipment and communication link. Telemedicine applications are Teleradiology, Telecardiology, Tele- education, Teleconsultation. Sensing system: Sensing system is a devices that detects a change in a physical stimulus and turns it into a signal which can be measured or recorded. To record an image we can use a digital camera or cc camera, and to record the voice or speech signal we can use mike or microphone. Compression: Image compression is minimizing the size in bytes of a graphics file without degrading the quality of the image to an unacceptable level. The reduction in file size allows more images to be stored in a given amount of disk or memory space. The two most common compressed graphic image formats are the JPEG format and the GIF format. The JPEG method is more often used for photographs, while the GIF method is commonly used for line art and other images in which geometric. Securing system: A securing system is used to secure the compressed signals from noise. A digital secure voice usually includes two components, a digitizer to convert between speech and digital signals and an encryption system to provide confidentiality. What makes ciphony difficult in practice is a need to send the encrypted signal over the same voiceband communication circuits used to transmit unencrypted voice, e.g. analog telephone lines or mobile radios. |
