Abstract
Passenger information system primarily involves conveying informa-
tion about the present location of a moving vehicle with the GPS
receiver attached to it. Vehicle consists of a GPS receiver, a GSM
modem, microcontroller, LCD and the interfacing circuit. The data
from GPS is continuously received by GPS receiver. Using this data
various informations are displayed on the LCD.
The latitude and longitude data from the received GPS sentence
are sent via GSM modem in the vehicle to the GSM modem with the
owner. On receiving this, the owner can see the current position of
the vehicle using google earth.
