In the present world, a lot of services are available to us in the form of IVRS, such as in banks, mobile customer cares, railway enquiry etc. These make the accessing of information very much easier. Here, the the system being designed is to be placed in colleges being connected to devices to get the details of attendance. For accessing the attendance of a student, he makes a call to the designated number. The response will come by IVRS. Then the student will be asked to enter the password on the phone's keypad to get the attendance details. There is a DTMF decoder for an interface between mobile phone and micro controller. There is a voice processing unit for the purpose of announcing the attendance of a particular student. The attendance details of the student are stored in the eeprom of the microcontroller. There is a keypad interfacing connected to the microcontroller. This is sued for changing the attendance value of a particular student.
Block diagram
The block diagram consists of power supply, A keypad, mobile phone, DTMF, microcontroller, an LCD display. The LCD Display is of the linear type as it is sued to display the information about the project and also to prompt for more information.
