About the Project
ONLINE EXAMINATION, is an Online examination website. It caters to the need of appearing in exam online by the user.
It's an online live MCQ exam project using ASP.NET with sql connectivity.
It is developed to provide its users an easy way to do the same.
When a user visits the site, he/she has option to makes his/her account by signing in.
Then he/she can login from the same username and password later on if desired.
The question will be multiple choice.
The answers will chosen using a radio button.
The questions will be thrown randomly.
Then he/she attempts the question paper and submit it to get his/her score in a very appropriate manner.
The project is developed in such a way that enables modules of the system to interact with each other in a convenient way which makes the system to increase its functionality.
The Online Examination system is developed in a ASP.NET WITH C # enabled environment by using the SQL at the back end which offers the following functional objectives:
Online Examination System is designed for Educational Institutes like Schools,Colleges, and Private Institutes to conduct logic tests of their students on a regular basis.
The system handles all the operations and generates reports as soon as the test is completed which saves the precious time of faculties spent on reviewing answer sheets.
The existing system is weak when it comes to surprise test organizations whereas this system can make it possible very easily.
To satisfy the needs of a student.
To provide the students their score so that they can know where they stand.
To enhance their programming skills.
Assumptions and Constraints
The system must have Visual Studio installed on it.
Also, the system must have SQL server installed on it.
Username are valid email addresses of respective user
Administrator has the authority to add/delete faculty level accounts.
Administrator have the authority to approve/expel student
Administrator have the authority to change student s group.
User interface is only in English i.e. no other language option is available.
User can login only with his assigned username and password i.e. no guest facility is available.
CONCLUSION
ONLINE EXAMINATION, has managed to successfully fulfil its objective of providing the users with an experience of online examination which is very helpful.
This Web Application provides facility to conduct online examination world wide. It saves time as it allows number of students to give the exam at a time and displays the results as the test gets over, so no need to wait for the result. It is automatically generated by the server.
Administrator has a privilege to create, modify and delete the test papers and
its particular questions. User can register, login and give the test with his
specific id, and can see the results as well.

SYNOPSYS
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
Online Examination project assesses students by conducting online objective tests. The tests would be highly customizable. This project will enable educational institutes to conduct test and have automated checking of answers based on the response by the candidates.
The project allows faculties to create their own tests. It would enable educational institutes to perform tests, quiz and create feedback forms. It asks faculty to create his/her set of questions. Faculty then creates groups and adds related students into the groups. Further the tests are associated with specific groups so that only associated students can appear for the test. The result of the response would be available to the faculty of the question set. Further the result would also be mailed to the student. This project would be helpful for creating practice tests, say for educational institutes and as a feedback form.
PURPOSE:-
Responses by the candidates will be checked automatically and instantly.
Online examination will reduce the hectic job of assessing the answers given by the candidates.
Being an integrated Online Examination System it will reduce paper work.
Can generate various reports almost instantly when and where required.
SCOPE:-
This project would be very useful for educational institutes where regular evaluation of students is required. Further it can also be useful for anyone who requires feedback based on objective type responses.
FUNCTIONAL AND SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:-
Required software is for conducting on-line objective type examination and providing immediate results. The system should satisfy the following requirements:
Administrator Aspect:-
1. Taking backup of the database.
2. Editing/Deleting/Creating the database.
3. Changing the password.
4. Logging into the system.
5. Accepting registrations of candidates.
6. Creating a test.
7. Posting questions in the above test.
8. Posting multiple options to respective question.
9. Marking correct answer within the given options.
10. Time limit of the test if any.
11. Whether to randomize the questions.
12. Set negative marks for wrong responses.
Student Aspect:-
13. Requesting registration.
14. Logging into the system.
15. Edit user information.
16. Selecting the test.
17. Appearing for the examination.
18. Printing the result at the end of the examination.
19. Reviewing the given responses.
Analysis:-
20. Authenticating users based on username and password.
21. Keeping session track of user activity.
22. Recording candidates responses to every question.
23. Checking whether the given response is correct or not.
24. Keeping history of test reports of all users.

manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of
on-line test simulator is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly
through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also
gives fast results.
For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and
there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc.
SCOPE:
Scope of this project is very broad in terms of other manually taking exams.
Few of them are:-
This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate
world.
Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application(user
Location doesn t matter).
No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate
takes the test.

There is a quality login window because this is more secure than other
login forms as in a normal login window there are multiple logins available
so that more than one person can access to test with there individual login.
But in this project there is only one login id i.e. administrator id and
password by which a person enter the site. Hence it is more secure and
reliable than previously used on-line test simulators.

Test page is the most creative and important page in this project. It
consists of 2 modules namely:

field (like C, C++ and JAVA etc) for taking on with the test.

question.

Hello,
I am neha i am doing online examination system project in jsp.
i have a problem : I want to go for next and previous question as i click on next and previous button in jsp.
