Web-based Income Tax Filing System (WITFS) is a web-based software that allows users to file their income tax easily. Currently users find it difficult to go through plethora of income tax laws in filing their tax returns. Current tax preparation software s are addressed to a larger audience and hence accordingly they are complex. The system is expected to meet the needs of the salaried class. The system is secure, protected by passwords and unauthorized entry is not permitted. The final income taxes computed will be displayed in the nayasaral form. The user may print completed form using the system. The system has text sensitive exhaustive help system built in. In order to enable the user to complete the form in more than one session, backup of entered data, at exit are provided. Basic content on Income Tax like deduction, rebates, tax slabs etc are built into system, which can be updated by the administrator. The user need not be fully aware of tax laws, as software assists the user in every aspect for preparation of return
