Energy Conservation in Automobile Traffic and Transportation With Intelligent Transport System

[attachment=384]

Abstract:

The impacts of globalization are becoming apparent nowadays in many part of the world. Our country has thus far managed well in global competition and can do so also in the future. This, however, requires staying in the front of development. Imitating and following the innovations of others can only lead to successes in small domestic markets as large international companies usually operate more efficiently than small companies in exploiting tried technological solutions. The innovation environment is important also in the field of transport. The information society is now proceeding forcefully into the everyday life of people, firms and authorities where telematics is omnipresent i.e. ubiquitous. Transport is on the way towards ubiquitous transport, ubitransport or -transport. The background study into the everyday information society commissioned recently recognized the main development possibilities of -transport and its innovation environment. These could include e.g. the fitting of RF-ID tags in all vehicles and transportation units, covering all public transport terminals and vehicles with wireless networks and real-time extensive multimode traffic and transport information.
In our proposed system, the intensity of the traffic is measured in each and every signal system. The measured value is transmitted to the vehicles having the reception unit. From the received values the MCU compares all the intensities and determines the optimal route to travel on.
Special RFID tags are attached with the emergency vehicles. On reception of those special vehicles the transmitted signal are received by the signal unit. The MCU in the signal unit decodes those particular signals and the traffic is cleared for those emergency public vehicles keeping all the other signals hanging.
