Objective/Vision
Local bodies are classified into Municipal Corporations, Municipalities of different grades and Nagara Panchayats depending upon the population and income of the Urban Local Body. These Urban Local Bodies have been constituted with the objective of discharging certain
obligatory functions like:
(a) Supply of drinking water
(b) Providing and maintaining drainage and sewage systems

(d) Maintaining sanitation and hygiene of public places
(f) Maintenance of public parks and gardens
(g) Ensuring systematic/planned urban growth
(h) Regulation of building construction
(i) Licensing of Trade activities
(j) Maintenance of Birth and Death records.

Functional Requirements
i. Advertisement Tax - purpose of this Advertisement Tax module is to specify the requirements of the Advertisement Tax system
ii. Asset and Inventory System - Asset and Inventory Module facilitates with the Purchase/Acquisition of Assets, Calculating Depreciation, Sale of Assets, Purchase/Issue of products,processing of issue returns, purchase returns and wastage of products
ii. Births & Deaths Registration - This System automates the citizen s Birth, Still Birth and Death details, issuing of Birth, Still Birth and Death Certificates, service charge details, inclusion of child name at a later date, Issuing of Non-Availability Certificates
iv. Property Tax - module covers Calculation of Property Tax, Issue of Special Demand Notice for New or Revised Tax, Revision Petition, Issue of demand notice, Collection of tax, Collection of Penalties, Tax Payments, Half Year wise updations
v. Admin Services - The Admin Services are some reusable components for the MAS and common services like User Authentication, User-Service-Role Mapping and User Management
vi. Grievence handling and status reporting to citizen
vii. Ability to integrate this solution with other open-standard based e-governance applications.
vii. Backup and log facilities to control access of sensitive data.
