ELECTRIC BIKE
#1

Electric bicycle, also known as e-bike or mountain bike is a bike, booster with built-in electric motor that can be used for propulsion. There is a great variety of different types of e-bikes are available worldwide, from e-bikes that have only a small motor to help power the rider pedals (i.e. pedelecs) for somewhat more powerful electric bicycles, which are closer to the moped-style: all functionality, however, retains the ability to be on the brakes rider and therefore not electric motorcycles. E-bicycles use rechargeable batteries and light varieties can travel up to 25 to 32 km/h (from 16 to 20 mph), depending on the laws of the country in which they are sold, While more powerful options can often more than 45 km/h (28 mph). In some markets, such as Germany, they are gaining in popularity and taking some market share from the traditional bicycle, while in other countries, such as China, they replace fossil fuel powered mopeds and small motorcycles.

Depending on local laws, many e-bikes (for example, pedelecs), have the legal status as bicycles, not motorcycles or mopeds, so they are not subject to the more stringent laws against their certification and operation, in contrast to the more powerful two-wheeled vehicles, which are often classified as electric motorcycle. E-bikes can be identified separately and treated as a specific type of vehicle in many areas of jurisdiction.

E-bike motor-powered bicycle, motorized versions that have been around since the late 19 century.

An electric bicycle, also known as an e-bike, is a bicycle with an electric motor used to power the vehicle. Electric bicycles typically cost between US$500 and US$3,000, use rechargeable batteries and can travel up to 15 to 20 miles per hour (24 to 32 km/h). Depending on the laws of the country in which they are sold, and in some markets they are rapidly replacing traditional bikes and motorcycles.
In many parts of the world, electric bicycles are classified as bicycles rather than motor vehicles, so they are not subject to the same laws as motor vehicles. Electric bicycles are one type of motorized bicycle. However, electric bicycles are defined separately and treated as a specific vehicle type in many areas of legal jurisdiction. An electric bicycles which requires the rider to pedal in order to activate the motor is known as a pedelec.
Electric bicycle usage worldwide has experienced rapid growth since 1998. It is estimated that there were roughly 120 million e-bikes in China as of early 2010, and sales are expanding rapidly in India and the Netherlands.[1] The Electric Bikes Worldwide Reports 2010 Update estimates that 1,000,000 electric bicycles will be sold in Europe in 2010.The same report estimates that sales in the U.S. will reach roughly 300,000 in 2010, doubling the number sold in 2009.
