What is Smart Card?
Smart Cards are plastic cards (like credit cards) with an implanted computer chip for storing and processing sensitive date. This chip may be a non-programmable memory chip or a microprocessor with an internal memory. Connection to the external reader is either through a direct physical contact or an external magnetic interface.
