ABSTRACT
The Event Log Book Maintenance is one of the modules of Power Company . This records the power plant s information on day to day and periodic basis, which is vital when the history of plant is required. In this plant, regular analysis of the utilization of resources is to be measured and records of isolated equipment are to be maintained. Weekly walkthroughs are to be done to feel, observe and record the defects of the machinery. Sometimes, machinery which are to be repaired, are kept open, may become hazardous to the personnel. Early prediction of the accidents in the plant reduces damage to both personnel and the machinery. All the specified activities are kept track by this Event Management System .
Existing System:
Event Log Book Maintenance is being done manually, where the records of isolated equipment are maintained in journals and paper documents. Utilization of resources is also scaled manually, which may not lead to proper analyzation of the productivity of the plant. Early predictions of the accidents are not done, as proper standards are not maintained in the plant.
Proposed System:
The proposed system overcomes the drawbacks of the existing system by computerizing all the activities of the power plant. So that, it will reduce the amount of the time spent by the personnel to store, retrieve and search data related to various activities and status of the plant. Safety Regulation Certifications are maintained to each of the activity to have reliable and consistent records. Reports are generated regularly to maintain the history of the plant.
