Referring the components, as the Java Management Extensions Instrumentation and Agent Specification, the technology supplies with the tools to build distributed, Web-based, modular and dynamic solutions for managing and monitoring devices applications and service-driven networks. Working as a benchmark for managing and monitoring all aspects of software and hardware components from Java, it is compatible for adapting legacy systems, implementing new management and monitoring solutions, and plugging into those of the future.
The three different stages of entities classified by JMX are 1) Instrumentation, the resources to be managed, 2) Agents, the controllers of the instrumentation level objects, and 3) Distributed Services, the means that facilitates the interaction of the agents and their managed objects with the administration applications.
