Abstract
This describes a system in which the user can control almost any appliance, ways of entry and exit in your house all from a click in a computer in your house or more importantly, via the Internet from any place in the world. This system has mainly three parts:
-a centralized database: It stores information regarding the status of various
appliances in the house
- a remote application :It is
designed for clients and gives visual representation in the form of symbols etc. of various parts and appliances in the house
- a web based application: Using this the user can ntrol various appliances and parts of a house. HTML, VBScript and ASP has been used in the development of this interface.
Design Specifications and functionalities
-A web based front end where a user can login using a unique username and
password
-doors,
windows, gates, sensors, lights, etc must be displayed in the user screen after he logs in.
-secure and efficient system with server and database secure.
-illegal change in the system on detectiom must be logged and intimated to the police.
-scalable and flexible
-Hardware should be easy to installed and be efficient and non intrusive
