*ഭാഷകൾക്ക് മുൻപിൽ 'the ' ആവിശ്യമില്ല എന്നാൽ മുൻപിൽ 'the' വന്നാൽ ആ ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യത്തെ ആൾക്കാർ എന്നർത്ഥം 
Eg: The English means the people of England.
*കായികം /വിനോദം എന്നിവയെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാക്കുകൾക്ക് മുൻപിൽ 'the ' ആവിശ്യമില്ല 
eg: We play foot ball every evening.
*Breakfast, lunch, dinner എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മുൻപിൽ 'the ' ആവിശ്യമില്ല 
eg: I usually have breakfast at 8 a.m
Note : എന്നാൽ അവയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ഒരു adjective വന്നാൽ adjectiveന് മുൻപിൽ article ചേർക്കണം 
eg. I had a good breakfast today.
*Mother, Father, Uncle, Aunt, എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മുൻപിൽ 'the' ആവശ്യമില്ല. എന്നാൽ possessive adjective ഉപയോഗിക്കാം.
 eg: My father, my uncle etc.
* School, College, Hospital, Church എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ അതത് ആവശ്യത്തിനാണ് പോകുന്നതെങ്കിൽ 'the’ ആവശ്യമില്ല
eg. He goes to school regularly (to study) 
She goes to church on Sundays (to pray) 
എന്നാൽ മേല്പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ മറ്റ് ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കാണ് പോകുന്നതെങ്കിൽ the ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. 
Eg : eg: He went to the hospital to visit his sick friend.
* വ്യക്തിയുടെയോ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെയോ  പേരിനു ശേഷം ഏതങ്കിലും Institution വരികയാണെങ്കിൽ ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ ഒന്നും തന്നെ ഉപയോഗിക്കരുത് .
eg: St. Mary's Church,Kerala University etc.
എന്നാൽ Universityഎന്ന പദം സ്ഥലപ്പേരിനു മുമ്പാണ് വരുന്നതെങ്കിൽ 'The ' ചേർക്കണം .
Eg : The University ofKerala, 
The University of Oxford
*ലോഹങ്ങൾ, സംജ്ഞാനാമം എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മുൻപിൽ 'the ആവശ്യമില്ല.
eg: Iron is a useful metal.
എന്നാൽ അവകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണകൾ മുൻപിൽ ' ' ചേർക്കണം 
eg. The Iron axe is so sharp to cut the tree.
