Remote water monitoring for wide area monitoring using GPRS systems

Remote water monitoring for wide area monitoring using GPRS systems.
Abstract

General Packet Radio Service, a standard for wireless communications which runs at high speed as compared to current GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) systems'. GPRS is a best-effort packet switched service, as opposed to circuit switching, where a certain quality of service (QoS) is guaranteed during the connection for non-mobile users. Which supports a wide range of bandwidths, is an efficient use of limited bandwidth and is particularly suited for sending and receiving small bursts of data, such as e-mail and Web browsing, as well as large volumes of data.
With development of communication systems and remote monitoring systems there is a track of resources on the earth. Presently monitoring the water resources availability by using satellite-based systems these are very highly maintained and it will be very costly.
To monitor the water resources in wide area with an remote controlling a system is based on GPRS has to be developed. This system will take the less cost and very useful to every normal person to monitor the water. To implement this project embedded c and device programming has to be used.
