AN RFID APPLICATION FOR THE DISABLED : PATH FINDER

Interactive or active RFID technology that is being used for many-advanced application from health sector to retail depending on that technology Path finder, of which it is designed for the mainly the blind, in an RFID based application which stem to reach no explicit requirements and aims for user group to reach to target within a non familiar or totally un known campus area without taking any help out side. Starting from the entrance gate, application guides the user until wherever the user wants to reach and in vise versa direction. During the trip, many users decide to change the target by using a shortest path algorithm. In this project, we tried to explain how to develop such a solution and gave test result of the system.

IMPLEMENTATION; the system consists of multiple reader installed in multiple location through campus. The base has a speaker unit, which announces the path to proceed. The RFID issued to the blind unique ID and registered with a particular destination. When the tag reaches each reader, the base unit will guide to the next point how to go. Each reader can guide multiple access as per tag issued. Complex software and hardware solution have implemented in this application.
