WEATHER MONITORING AND INSTRUMENT CONTROL SYSTEM USING MICROCONTROLLER
Synopsis
Throughout time we've been fascinated by the weather studying signs of change and making and acting on predictions. Today we can page link modern instruments to computers to reduce human error, automate record keeping and control conditions should limits be crossed.
Many weather conditions may be measured, including temperature, atmospheric pressure, rainfall, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and solar energy. Local weather measurements are extremely important to a wide range of professions, from horticulturists to fire fighters. It provides around-the-clock monitoring of various types of applications. For example, it can be used in a greenhouse to manage climate control and help promote favorable growing conditions. In solar power applications, it can verify the performance of photovoltaic (PV) array systems by monitoring solar radiation, DC power, and other parameters. On green roofs, it can help researchers understand performance by tracking air temperature, turf temperature, soil moisture, and rainfall. Aim of the project is to monitor rainfall, air direction and control the motor by soil moisture sensor and control the sprayer by humidity sensor.
Monitoring and control section:
The LCD display is displaying four parameters for rainfall, air direction, soil moisture and humidity. The entire data is analog, these data is converted to digital data by ADC. The four channel digital signals are compared between exit and present data due to the embedded code; it is stored into flash memory of the microcontroller. The condition of the parameter is invalid then the microcontroller control motor and sprayer; it is depend on the wet or dry of soil and climates of the sky or heaven.
