ABSTRACT
The Mechanical Booster System is connected with a vacuum pump to obtain
ultra high vacuum (UHV). This system is basically applied in various food,
pharmaceutical and other industries. Here we have discussed some basic
components of the Mechanical Booster System as well as how the system
works when connected with a roots vacuum pump. The case study of how a
mechanical booster system is more advantageous than a normal vacuum pump
is also discussed in the report as per our experiences in the Nutramul Plant of
Amul at Anand.
