nfc based vehicle tracking

Fixed assets management system utilising NFC

Tracking the location and status of assets, machines, equipment, and inventory has become increasingly important for a wide range of industries. Completely scalable and customisable to any size company, the NFC tracker (near field communication) is fully context configurable and allows you to easily identify, track, and locate any tagged asset. The advantages gained through the implementation of NFC technology will enable you to save time and reduce your overall operating costs. Our NFC assets management solution is essential to a wide variety of operations, including supply chain management, hospitals, construction, warehouses, manufacturing, and commercial businesses.

INTRODUCTION:

This project is an advanced system for Automation and Vehicle Tracking. Here this system is designed to automatically keep track if vehicle s movement, record the timing and also the details like Owner s Name, Date of registration, Vehicle Model etc. This project is very useful for automatic Vehicle Tracking, Time management and also for Automation of Gates. This system basically consists of a set of ID Chips (set of Transmitter & Receiver), Decoder, Code Analyzer, Interfacing and a PC with the customized software module.
This project is a step towards improving the Tracking & Monitoring of vehicles travelling in predetermined routes. Here, this computerized system automatically identifies to approaching vehicle and records the Vehicle Number & Time and if the vehicle belongs to the authorized person / group, it automatically opens the Gate.

DISCRIPTION

In our project there are various applications which we have implemented. Basically in this project we have implemented the concept of NFC. Through which are communication to identify various parameter which are explained below. The first application is to identify the vehicles which are stolen or if the vehicle has to be tracked, to implement this we are making use of NFC concept where by an active rf id will be placed in the chassis which is just below the petrol tank. When ever the person takes there vehicle near parking lot or petrol pumps then with the help of the NFC receiver that is active RFID receiver which is place at nozzle point in petrol pumps will collect the information about the vehicle and it will judge weather it is stolen or non stolen vehicle. If the vehicle is stolen then it will send the information to the police station and owner of the vehicle regarding the area of petrol pump where the vehicle is present. In second application we are taking care to avoid the corruption which is done by the traffic police by collecting the unbilled amount from the public. As we know that even though if our vehicle documents are up to date but still some time because of some reason we forget the document else where and in result we have to pay the penalty. So to avoid that we have designed this application. When ever the vehicle is stopped by the police man then police will keep the NFC receiver that is active rfid receiver in front the vehicle then police will get all the information about the vehicle whether his or her vehicle documents are up to date or no, if the documents are not up to date then an paging will be done to the Control room regarding the penalty and locally info will be provided to the person regarding the penalty he or she need to pay.In third application we have implemented on attractive feature that is if the vehicle is met with any accident in city limits or in highways then the moment it gets hit from any object information will be sent to the police station or hospital. In fourth application vehicle locking part is being implemented if the vehicle is stolen then we will be getting information that vehicle is stolen by some one then this project has the facility to lock the vehicle using our mobile phones.
