Development of Remote Waste Gas Monitor System
A remote waste gas monitor system is designed here for supervising factory chimney waste gas circumstance. This system has ARM as its core controller and collects the chimney pollutant indexes consisting of exhaust particulate,
sulfur oxides, carbon oxides as well as nitrogen oxides through different gas sensors. Global Positioning System(GPS) is used by the system to accurately obtain the position of the chimney. This information alongwith others is sent to the central control computer via GSM or the complete public switched telephone network. when the collected data exceeds the national standards, the system automatically alarms the environment protection departments via the GSM. The data is also stored in the stored into SD memory
card through SPI interface. Analysis shows that the the precision of system is no higher than 2.5 percent.

The hardware elements in the system are:
-MCU control module
-sensor and signal processing module
GPS positioning module
-GSM communication module
-MODEM module
-GSM warning module
-SD data storage module

First Global Positioning System(GPS) obtains the chimney position. Then it collects the required information which is transmitted to the
control computer through the GSM network by using AT command or PSTN network .
