VISION:

To develop a complete and sustainable website for a resort that helps it
Efficiently and provide adequate information to both the user and the final
User of the results generated.

MISSION:

The mission is to offer to our guest the most comprehensive integrated
Resort n palaces facilities available. The mission of this project is to make the
Resort services available to the users in most easy and user friendly manner.

1.2 BLOCK DIAGRAM OF RESORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

AS PER GUEST:

AS PER ADMINISTRATOR:

1.3 ABOUT THE PROPOSED SYSTEM

1.3.1 AIM

Objective of the system is to develop complete and sustainable website for
The country s largest RESORT that help in immediately deal with the
Guest and provide adequate information to guest.

1.3.2 SYSTEM OBJECTIVE

System allows online registration for RESORT.
Mails the reservation number to them.
System also provides searching of the various Resorts all over the India either by location or its type.
System also provides a complaint form to lodge complaints about RESORT services or any other queries.
System also provides a modification and cancellation of reservation.
System also provides information about the various services available online.

1.3.3 SCOPE

System should support multi-user environment.
System should be fully automated.
System should provide concrete security features like creating users and assigning privileges to users of the system.
System should be capable to keep track of all the detailed descriptions of the client and the whole details of services offered by the client organization.
System should be able to handle extremely large volumes of data (i.e. Large database support)
Build relationships with investors, secure management contracts and successfully manage the hotel investments, underpinning asset values.
Within each RESORT operation, provide complete satisfaction to guest in terms of facilities and service standards, food and beverage and related products, at a fair price.
Manage hotels by human resource policies which encourage and reward individual and unified effort and achievement, provide training and personal development opportunities and create a working environment in which staff can feel a real sense of job involve
It can be accessed anytime, from anywhere, giving you complete control over the guest record.

2. Find hotel it is basically for search of particular resort in particular area with the help of location or by resort type.

1.5 METHODOLOGY USED FOR DATA COLLECTION

Collection of data can be done from various places.

Requirements elicitation is perhaps the most difficult, most critical, most error prone, and most communication intensive aspect of software development. Elicitation can succeed only through an effective customer developer partnership.

The real requirements actually reside in user s mind. Hence the most important goal of requirement engineering is to find out what the users really need. Users need can be identified only if we understand the expectations of the users from the desired software. This is known as Data Collection. They are of two types, Primary Data Collection , and Secondary Data Collection .

Data collection is a term used to describe a process of preparing and collecting data for example as part of a process improvement or similar project. The purpose of data collection is to obtain information to keep on record, to make decisions about important issues, to pass information on to others.

Primary Data collection:

It can be defined as which can be taken out directly from environment. Brainstorming is the source of primary data collection. Brainstorming is a technique that may be used during requirements elicitation to the understand the requirements.
A brainstorming session is used for generating lots of new ideas and solutions.
Brainstorming has become very popular and is being used but most of the companies. It promote creative thinking, generate new ideas and provide platform to share view, every idea is documented in such a way that everyone can see it with the help of white board or computer projection system.
After this session a detailed report will be prepared. , In this I take my guide as a person for brainstorming and few of my friends. I take all the points whatever my Guide and Friends thinks whatever they require in the system which I will prepare.

Secondary data collection:

All the information was collected from the Internet as par the part of the planning for the organization and was then framed into logical data.
The major site from where the data has been collected is maurya.com
The website contains all the information regarding its functions and services.
Internet was one of the main sources of data collection and a lot of useful data was available on the internet.

Various sites referred include:

1.6 METHODOLOGY USED FOR ANALYSIS AND DESIGN

1.6.1 TECHNIQUE USED FOR SYSTEM ANALYSIS:
ITERATIVE ENHANCEMENT MODEL

This model includes five phases each having a particular and a well-defined
Goal associated with it. The phases occur in the given order and do not
Overlap, but these can be conducted in several cycles. A usable product is
Released at the end of each cycle, with each release providing additional
Functionality.

Phases are as follows

a) REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS AND REQUIREMENT PHASE:

In this phase the exact requirements of the guest were understood and documented them properly. This activity is usually executed together with the guest, as the goal is to document all functions, performance and interfacing requirements for the software. The requirements here specify the what of a system and not the how of a system

b) DESIGN:

In this phase the requirement specification were transformed into a structure that is suitable for implementation. DFD s and ER Diagram of the system were made according to the various databases and the functions of the system. Here overall software architecture is defined. This work is documented and known as software design description (SDD) document.

C) IMPLEMENTATION AND UNIT TESTING PHASE:

During this phase the design was implemented. The design was then made to run. If the SDD is complete, the implementation or coding phase proceeds smoothly, because all the information needed by the software developers is contained in the SDD.

d) INTEGRATION AND SYSTEM TESTING PHASE:

This is a very important phase. Effective testing contributes to the delivery of higher quality software products, more satisfied users, lower maintenance costs, and more accurate and reliable results. All the possible requirements were tested to give a high quality and reliable product.

e) OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE PHASE:

Software maintenance is a task that every development group has to face, when the software is delivered to guest s site, installed and is operational. The time spent and effort required keeping the software operational after release is very significant.

1.6.2 PLATEFORM:
1.6.2.1 Software Interfaces:

Front-end -- ASP.Net
Back-end -- SQL Server
Platform -- Windows XP/NT 32x , 64x , Windows Vista
Primary memory--Minimum requirement 64MB
1.6.2.2 Hardware Interfaces:

Screen resolution of at least 800*600- required for proper and complete viewing of screen. Higher resolution would not be a problem.

Support for printer (dot-matrix/DeskJet/inkjet etc. - any will do) - that is, appropriate drivers are Installed and printer connected printer will be required for printing of reports.

2. SYSTEM ANALYSIS

System Analysis involves a detailed study of the current system, leading to specifications of a new system. Analysis is a detailed study of various operations performed by a system and their relationships within and outside the system.

During analysis, data are collected on the available files, decision points and transactions handled by the present system.

Using the following steps it becomes easy to draw the exact boundary of the new system under consideration:

Keeping in view the problems and new requirements

Workout the pros and cons including new areas of the system

System Analysis also includes sub-dividing of complex process involving the entire system, identification of data store and manual processes.

The main points to be discussed in system analysis are:

Specification of what the new system is to accomplish based on the user
Requirements.

Functional hierarchy showing the functions to be performed by the new system
and their relationship with each other.

Function network which are similar to function hierarchy but they highlight
those functions which are common to more than one procedure.

List of attributes of the entities - these are the data items which need to be held
about each entity (record)

2.1 SYSTEM UNDER STUDY:

2.1.1. SEARCH:
This allows the GUEST to obtain information about the various Resort and
Palaces and also allow guest to find a resort on the basis of the location and
Type selected by him/her.

This allow guest to check the availability of the various resort and palaces
Resort.

2.1.3. RESERVATION
After checking the availably of room then he/she can request for the reservation
Of the room

2.1.4. CANCELLATION:
The guest can cancel the reservation of its room with the Reservation number
Given to him/her at that time of reservation.

2.1.5. COMPLAINT:
The guest can register its complaints.

2.1.6. FEEDBACK:
The guest can register feedback for the website.

2.1.7. Admin:
Required valid admin name and password.

2.1.8. Add resort:
