3G & 4G WIRELESS SYSTEM
#1

[attachment=15536]
INTRODUCTION
Third Generation (3G) mobile devices and services transforms wireless communications in to on-line, real-time connectivity. 3G wireless technology will allow an individual to have immediate access to location-specific services that offer information on demand.
Fourth generation (4G) mobile systems focus on seamlessly integrating the existing wireless technologies including GSM, wireless LAN, and Bluetooth. This contrasts with third generation (3G), which merely focuses on developing new standards and hardware. 4G systems will support comprehensive and personalized services providing stable system performance and quality service.
HISTORY
1G : based on analog technology
2G : based on digital technology, mainly used for voice applications, circuit switched data communication, based on TDMA & CDMA standards
3G : higher quality voice channels, broadband capabilities up to 2 Mbps
4G:It will consist of a set of various networks using IP as a common protocol
WHAT IS 3G ?
3G wireless technology represents the convergence of various 2G wireless telecommunications systems into a single global system that includes both terrestrial and satellite components.
One of the most important aspects of 3G wireless technology is its ability to unify existing cellular standards, such as CDMA, GSM, and TDMA, under one umbrella
