working principle of rain alarm circuit

i got the simple circuit for making rain alarm..it consists of 2 transistors,2 resistances,capacitor.alarm,battery,etc..can you plz tel me what is the working principle?..how current flows,what is the use of transistor in it ,etc,etc..
