Tense (കാലം )
ഒരു Verb ന് പ്രധാനമായും മൂന്ന് tense കളാണു ഉള്ളത്
Present ,past and Future
1. Simple
2.Continuous
3. Perfect
4. Perfect Continuous
അങ്ങനെ മൊത്തത്തിൽ 12 Tense forms ഉണ്ട്.അവ എങ്ങനെയാണെന്നു പരിശോധിക്കാം.
PRESENT
Simple Write, writes
Continuous is/am/are/writing
Perfect has/have written
Perfect Continuous has/have been writing
PAST
simple Wrote
Continuous was/were writing
Perfect had written
Perfect Continuous had been writing
FUTURE
Simple Will/shall write
Continuous will/shall be writing
Perfect will/shall have written
Perfect Continuous will/shall been writing
SIMPLE PRESENT

Subject + Present from of the verb + object
Eg: she sings songs
*Simple present is Used
1.സ്ഥിരമായി ചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാൻ
Eg: I get up Everyday at Five o’ Clock
2. പ്രപഞ്ച സത്യങ്ങളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാൻ
Eg : The sun rises in the east
3.മുൻകൂട്ടി തിരുമാനിച്ചുറപ്പിച്ചതും ഭാവിയിൽ സംഭവിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നതുമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ
Eg : The Match starts at 9 o’ Clock
4.Proverbs,quotations,maxims എന്നിവയെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാൻ
Eg :Slow and steady Wins the race.
John Keats says ‘’A thing of beauty is a joy forever’’
5.’’Here” ലോ “there” ലോ തുടങ്ങുന്ന exclamatory sentence simple present ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പറയുന്നത്
Eg : Here comes the train
6.Broadcast commentaries ൽ Simple present ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
Eg : Cricket Commentary
7.വസ്തുനിഷ്ഠവും കാലാതീതവുമായ സംഭവത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്.
Eg :Water freezes at 0^oC
The wood Floats on Water

ഘടന
Subject + am/is/are + Verb + ing +Object
Eg: They are Playing Cricket.
Uses
1.സംഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാൻ
Eg : It is raining now
Now right now at present
At this moment still today
എന്നിവ time adverbs ആയി present continuous tense ൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു .
2.തീരുമാനിച്ചുറപ്പിച്ച സമീപഭാവിയിൽ നടക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ
eg. I am going to the cinema tonight
