INTRODUCTION
X-ray computer tomography and computed tomography (CT) or computerized tomography (CAT scan) is a medical imaging procedure that uses computer processed x-rays to produce a tomographic images or "slices" of specific parts of the body. These cross-sectional images are used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in various areas of medicine. The results of your scan will not be available immediately. the computer must process information from your scan, which will then be reviewed by a radiologist (specialist in interpreting body image).
After analyzing the images, radiologist write a report and send it to a specialist or a general practitioner. It usually takes a few weeks.
