Job Placements

We guarantee employment for all our students by recommending to the respective employers after completion of their courses as they wait to be employed by Teachers Service Commission. We have assisted a number of our students to get teaching jobs locally, especially in Nairobi as well as in Sudan and Tanzania.

Academic Requirements

All students preparing to train for the Kenya Primary Teacher courses for p1 should have completed KCSE level of education and have a mean grade of C (plain) and above only and at least C - in English and D (Plain) in Maths

1. Books

Our library is fully stocked for your reading requirement for PTE success. But you are required to buy two English set books and two Kiswahili set books for your use. Find the list of the set books below.

Boarding

This college provides full boarding facilities, which is mandatory as per the ministry of education requirement. All students are served with a common college diet. Private cooking for students is not allowed anywhere in the college. The diet comprises ugali,cabbage/sukumawiki ,meat,githeri and rice. Tea is only served for breakfast. The college does not cater for special diet. The college will provide a bed only.

Students should report with: A mattress 36 by 3 feet and heavy blanket, 2 bed sheets and cover, 1 towel ,spoon, bucket/basin, sugar and cocoa. Canteen and school shop is within the college for you to buy supplement food.

Medical

Only first aid and simple cases are treated at the college dispensary. Serious cases will be referred to government general hospitals. Special cases which require attention or admission at private hospitals for specialized treatment such as eye sight dental,, need spectacles, chronic diseases etc will be paid for by the students themselves.

KNEC Examination Fee

Each student will pay Ksh. 3,900/ = towards KNEC examination registration fees (payable once) on reporting

Games

You will be expected to take part in games and sports unless you have certificate of examination from a government doctor. You must provide games rubber shoes and renew them when they get worn out

You must bring a hockey stick (maharadja) or pay ksh.1000/= checked on admission

Co-curricular Activities:

It should be noted that co-curricular activities form an integral part of college life and all students must participate. Any outstanding performance in competition must be recognized and earn a certificate which you can use later in life. Currently International TTC is the 2011 Kenya Teachers Colleges Sports Association Ballgames National Soccer.

Ladies champions and holders of Kenya Teachers Colleges Sports Association-Nairobi Zone Ballgames championship First position both in soccer men/women and you now understand that we take sports seriously as much as we take our Teacher Training.

Return Fare

Experience has shown that many students do not receive money from their parents/guardians on time for their return fare at the end of the term, arrangements have been made by the college for safe keeping of return fare by those students who need this service. Please note that the college does not lend money to students for fare.

All trainees must report with one sky blue track suit, one pair of sports shoes or rubber shoes. Carry enough clothing as uniform is only used from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm

Note (ii)

Students who had joined other colleges and would like to transfer to International TTC can do so in January 2013 by producing this letter. Fees paid in the other college will not be charged and KNEC Examination fees paid.
