INTERNET-BASED CLIENT/SERVER VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT DESIGNS FOR
REAL-TIME REMOTE-ACCESS CONTROL ENGINEERING LABORATORY

a generic virtual instrument used for real-time experimentation purposes is described here. A remote user can access the laboratory facilities. the experiments are emulated via a fast processor and the experimental data can be accessed by the students over a computer network.
a client/server computer configuration is the base of this . The server, situated near the experiment, receives the request from the client and responds to it. The command signal is computed by the client based on the reference waveform .

Client Enhanced Internet-based Remote Laboratory

All the features of the virtual laboratory are supported also it provides the user with additional options by allowing more responsibility on the client side. who implement and execute the controller can be chosen by the client. This ha many advantages:
- using computationally powerful clients for implementation of complex control
laws
-advanced control laws can be implemented despite significant limitations on the server-side
- implemented controller-code privacy.
