SMS CONTROLLED BRANCH CIRCUIT WITH TIMER AND DIGITAL THERMOMETER
Introduction:
The Short Message Service (SMS) Controlled Branch Circuit with Timer and Digital thermometer is an improvised version of the SMS Controlled Branch Circuit device by the former engineering students of IETI. It is basically a group of smart circuit breakers controlled remotely by a cellular phone. It can automatically switch on or off through text messaging. It also has a built-in timer so you can set the time on the circuit breaker on when switch on or off also through text message. The digital thermometer senses the room temperature and will send a suggestion text message if the temperature in your home becomes too cold or too hot (applicable only to appliances such as electric fans, air-conditioner, heater, etc.). The device can help people save electricity and can help manage their electrical appliances. The device can also prevent fire accidents due to short-circuiting or overloading electrical appliances.
This device can switch on or off four circuit breakers through text messaging because of its SMS capability. You can also set the time on when to switch on or off any of those four circuit breakers. It will also suggest if the room temperature in you home becomes too hot or too cold based on your desired room temperature. You can control your electrical appliances even if you re away from home. It has a built-in cellular phone for remote access, a microprocessor to make it smart, four circuit breakers that control the flow of electricity, a timer for each of the four circuit breaker,a digital thermometer that sends suggestion to your cell phone if the room temperature in you home changes from your desired temperature. The process is simple, when the built-in cellular phone receives a SMS command to switch off one of the circuit breaker, it will the relay the command to the micro controller that decides which specific circuit breaker to switch off depending on the SMS command, you can also set the timer of the specific circuit breaker, it then relays it back to the built-in cellular phone which then send a SMS confirmation message to the sender of the command. The digital thermometer just basically monitors the room temperature of your home and relays a suggestion text message to the built-in cellular phone which then send the text message to the sender.
