[attachment=627]

INTRODUCTION

Byramangala is a scenic village in Bidadi taluk of Ramanagaram District in Karnataka, about 24 miles away from Bangalore.
The village with its panoramic landscape and lush greenery entices the visitors. This charming hamlet is very famous for a lake called Byramangala Tank which shelters a large number of aquatic birds including migratory and resident birds.
The nearest areas of attraction include an impressive dome at the Meher Baba Universal Spiritual Center and the town of Bidadi. The village can be accessed directly by bus from Bangalore. Bidadi Railway Station on the Bangalore- Mysore line is the nearest railway station.
Byramangala reservoir is a highly polluted area due to the release of industrial and sewage pollutants (from bangalore) into the vrisbhathi river which finally gets and collected in the byramangala reservoir .
The water from the reservoir percolates into the underground soil and pollutes the ground water
Due to the addition of toxic chemicals into the reservoir made the reservoir useless for drinking , agriculture , fishing , recreational purpose etc.

To collect the details about study area - Byramangala, Bannigere and M.G. Doddi.
To collect maps (survey maps , minerology maps , revenue maps)
To study the characteristics of the water samples of the study area
To investigate the health effects from the borewell water.
