The Ingecon Sun Hydro can be supplied as a compact unit, incorporating all the functionalities described below, or as independent modules, depending on the hydropower plant size and layout.
This cost-effective equipment minimises the cabling and engineering in order to reduce the total installation cost, whilst incorporating all the functions required to govern and control a hydropower plant.
Component parts:
Turbine governor. A digital system to govern the turbine (Francis, Pelton, Kaplan or Bulbo) by specific control algorithms for each governor type (speed, power, level, opening and flow rate).
Generator regulator (excitation). Compact equipment for small units or equipment with independent power electronics. A redundant architecture option is available, for control or power stages. Suitable for indirect or direct excitation up to 1.500 A.
Automatic synchronisation.
Automation and protections: for the generating sets and for the sub-station associated with the power plant.
SCADA and remote control: scalable and flexible, thanks to the OPC based client / server architecture (ADSL, RDSI, GSM, GPRS, Internet, fibre optics, radio, microwave, satellite).
Remote communications.
Remote tripping
RS-485 (3964, MODBUS, etc.)
CAN.
