Lets explore what kind of websites we can build up(roll up your sleeves):
Well you can make a website for your college(common, too common right?). How about going a step further ?
Lets not make this website boring by including same common stuff about college. Why don't you make this website more interactive.
a)You can add features where students and communicate on day-to-day regular stuffs and also about coming events.
b) You can make it like a torrent site where students or teachers can upload and download study materials.
c) You can add feature by which students and teachers can maintain their attendance(it's a serious thing in colleges even if you are least interested in it).
d) You can also feature department upcoming events such as annual sports or annual festive events or you can expand it at college level.
e) Take ideas from so many social networking sites floating around us like Quora, FB, Whatsapp,etc. Add the best features of these websites and be the 'Mark' of your college.
f) In college we have lot of time for different stuffs like some students like to play music instruments, some students like to write but they are not encourage in a manner where they can back their talent. Why dont you do something about these students. Keep a section for such students where people can show off their talent.
g) Put up a complaints section also there.
h) THIS ONE IS MOST IMPORTANT. Keep a hidden section, which only students can access(no teachers, not a single one). Plan all the spooky stuffs here. Mass-Bunking poll section, save-a-friend section(if any of your friend is in trouble), etc, etc. (Your friends gonna love you for this)
Options are plenty here. Play around. Browse. Get more ideas. Assemble them all. Pick the best ones. Build it.
