June 21, as the International Yoga Day. Up to 192 countries open this day with deep breathing and coordinated movements. Last year, the United Nations General Assembly, accepting the proposal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate an international day of yoga, declared on 21 June the International Yoga Day, recognizing the "holistic approach to science and health ".
The day began with a massive yoga demonstration in Rajpath with Prime Minister Modi calling it "Yogpath." Throughout India, celebrations echoed the bad weather which refused to cushion the spirits of yoga practitioners.
