Management of Available Power in Substation Transformers Based on Reliability
A method for estimating the maximum power obtainable from a distribution transformer is described in this article. This estimate is made on the basis of the estimated value of the future load, current temperature values measured at different points and also the factor of transformer reliability. Also developed is a system to provide means of controlling the transformer overload especially in the times of peak load.

System description
It consists of several sub-systems located in the different sub stations and which are all connected together. Load forecasting of substation transformers, increasing the load factor etc are the main tasks.
The local system in each of the substation contains two networks in which one consists a digital transducer such as the IED for the purpose of relay. The other one is equiped with RTU for the purpose of moitoring the thermal and electrical variables of the transformer.
Four interconnected systems fed with the data from the acquisition system in real time forms the computer system.
