INTRODUCTION TO GEAR PRIMARY DERIVE (GPD-CDN)
Gear primary drive is one of the component manufactured by the Shivam auto tech ltd. this component is used in two wheeler kick arrangement with the gear kick starter primary (KSP) and with kick starter rotary (KSR). There are many processes of manufacturing of GPD as forging, CNC, broaching, hobbing, shaving, heat treatment etc. mainly these processes completed in following department given bellow-
Press shop
Machine shop
Heat treatment
FLOW OF PROCESSES
To manufacturing the GPD component the machining processes are used. In machining processes, also known as metal cutting or chip forming processes, material is removed from a work piece to get a final shape of the product. The following processes are used in manufacturing of GPD as given in flow diagram-
1. MATERIAL SELECTION
Selection of material for any desire component is very important for its life and application of working. Material of construction can be classified into two groups
Metallic material
Non-metallic material
Metallic materials can be further split into:-
(i) Ferrous materials
(ii) Non-ferrous materials
2. FORGING PROCESS
INTRODUCTION-forging may be defined as a metal working process by which metals and alloys are plastically deformed (reduced) to the desire shapes by the application of compressive force.
