Ad-hoc Voice-based Group Communication
The presently existing Multiparty Voice Communication (MVC) systems do not scale to large numbers of users and do not provide adequate access controls. RoadSpeak, a scalable MVC system is presented in this article. With this system, the motorists can automatically join Voice Chat Groups. voice chat message
buffering is made use of in the system to achieve interruptionfree
communication. a RoadSpeak prototype is demonstrated on the N95 smart phones using 3G technology. an MVC simulator is also present to simuate the differences with
existing MVC systems.

MULTIPARTY VOICE COMMUNICATION
Multiparty Voice Communication is currentlly used in the Massively Multiplayer Online Games. Here, the speech samples are taken from an audio device which is then compressed and broken into packets and then it is sent to the receiver. decompression, reassembly are done on the recieving side and sent for playback. Push to Talk over
Cellular allows users to to use their phones as walkie-talkies. voice patterns in MVC
scenarios consist of talkspurts and silence periods.

FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
The users can join a group in one commute and on return journey, he can automatically join the group by the GPS recorder sensing his position on the highway. Theh voice is sent to the other group members, buffering voice chat
messages so that voice conflict does not happen.
