Telemedicine System
#1

A Telemedicine System over the Internet
the Web has become a standardized infrastructure for giving access to sophisticated telemedicine applications from virtually any machine and operating system. This platform guarantees accessibility and usability advantages to both customers and providers, which being the patients and physicians. Computer networks have made it possible to share electronic medical records and to deliver medical
expertise via remote consultation.
There are applications of providing care at distance, called telecare applications.
based telemedicine systems have been attempted by many
researchers, and the most of them are experimented with the
use of videoconferencing for remote consultation. The present telemedicine applications are developed for doctors to do consultation and case study between several hospitals. But in present systems, users cannot directly see an associative and explicative picture of a case but are record-oriented . In this article, a patient oriented web-based telemedicine system, with a novel secret key encryption/decryption scheme is also developed.

Major features of internet based telemedicine system
1)Provides a circumstance for "Case Diagnosis" and
"Case Consultation" on a remote situation .
2) provides convenient methods for patients and doctors to communicate with each other and allows patients to send their medical data/image
through the Internet.
3)Build computer-based patient record and access to large databases of records are provided. Statistical tools can be easily applied for studying the records in this database.
4) allows easier access to more information
about a patient than the user either requests or needs.
5)Automatically produces a payment
6)Provides secure web payment system and
authentication procedures .

System architecture

Here, System Management, and Database
Management which are the main two processes are maintained by the web server.System management can include:
1)Service system: includes the modules for
"Case Submission " "Case presentation",Case
diagnosis",", "Medical Image upload", "Case consultation", ways for doctors, patients and consultants to communicate with each other.

2)Security system: refers to
network security and end-point security in a distributed
environment.solved by using the public key algorithms. By adding on
top of TCP/IP layers a SSL to implement encryption
technology.

3)Information System
4)Entertainment System
5)Payment System
6) Department Administration System.

[attachment=161]Many patients with diseases difficult to diagnose and treat come to hospitals for medical help, and the cost of traveling and accommodation is high for them, especially for those from the poor or remote border areas. As networks become more advanced and increase in speed, various nergetic activities have begun to emerge. New networks will cause a major revolution in society, and one area, which is expected to be an effective application of new networks, is telemedicine. In general, Telemedicine can be defined as the delivery of health care and sharing of medical knowledge over a distance using telecommunication means. Telemedicine provides medical information exchange at a distance, to support medical procedure, with the ultimate goal for improving community health care. In these experiments, integrated functions such as the transmission of medical images, collaboration and video conferencing, and provided superb human interfaces for telemedicine. As high-speed broadband networks spread, telemedicine support functions and areas where telemedicine services are available will increase. In the medical field, the emergence of a new format for medicine is expected, to include an equalization of opportunities to receive advanced medical treatment, and providing exacting medical care by linking hospitals and clinics.
