1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Scope of the Project

The aim of the project work is to develop software to address of the requirements of free e-mail processing system. The objective is to improve the quality in e-mail processing system. By using the fully equipped software like .Net I can reach the objective easily. The scope of this project is not limited to intranet only. I can ensure that this project can be launched as a full-fledged mailing site in the internet. As a result of this I am using the ASP.Net for developing this project. This allows to the organization to sent and receive mails by the user where it installed.
1.2 Major Modules
Home

Home page is used as the first page. From this page the user can click login and go to the next page that the user can login. From the first page the user can go to some other sites for some other purpose. These are some advertisements and act as some hyper links if the user have not have an account in this mail service the user can create a new user account from the hyper page link "New User". And create new account This hyper page link points to the new user page.
Logon Page
If the user already has an account she/he can click the login and go to the login page. The registered user can logon by typing his/her login and password and clicking the submit button. In addition to this it will contain a page link for new User Registration. If the user name and password are not match with the value that is stored in the database must make an error report as password or user name is not match, and again show the login page. If the login is succeeded the user can see his inbox.
New User Registration
Here user can register himself/herself by filling up the registration page. When the details are submitted it is updated in a database. Here the login name will be unique. After registration the person can access the site and make use of facilities. The user must provide data in each field else the data cannot be submitted to the data base, and provide some error reports. According to the error report to user must change the values to the corresponding fields and try again.
Mail Operations
Inbox

It contains information like the subject of the mail, the address of the person who sends the mail. This page gives the glance of the messages received in that particular account. It mail and date. The user can click the subject of each message and can see the messages and attachments. The read messages must be exported to the database trash from thrash the user can again see the messages what he/she read.
Compose
Here the user can send mail to other registered user of this service. It is also possible to send a mail to multiple recipients as Bcc, Ccc the user must provide subject for each mail he /she sent. From the compose the user can add some attachments also. Te address part can fill by the address book's value.
Sent Mails
This page contain all the information that the user can sent messages to others This page gives the glance of the messages sent. The user can click the subject of each message and can see the messages and attachments that the user sent to the other persons
Trash
This page contains all the information that the user can read messages .This page gives the glance of the messages read. The user can click the subject of each message and can see the messages and attachments that the user read .
Contact
Here the user can maintain his/her own address book. He can also store some information about the addressee as name nick name and so on. From the address book the user can add addresses while use composes the mail. While sent "SMS" the phone number can add from the address book. If the user want to see all contacts that can provided in this service.
SMS
The user can sent sms to the persons he wish. The user must enter phone no and messages. The phone number can add from the address book
Logout Page
Here the user is signed out from the account and the mailbox is closed. The user can access his/her mail by again signing it.
