INTRODUCTION

long gone are the days when setting the points, checking the timing and cleaning spark plugs was all you had to do to get your car to run right. And each service center were given a workshop manuals and trouble shooting charts to diagnosis the complaints Today's cars are sensitive, computerized machines that require sophisticated equipment to diagnose and keep running in top condition. Starting in the mid 90's car manufacturers began equipping their vehicles with ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS systems which governed complete control of the car. OBD-II enables service technician to diagnosis the vehicles pretty fast thus the repair time reduced. Due to the vast number of sensors and electronic actuators that keep the Vehicle within the modern emissions standard and vehicle in its max performance it is not financially feasible to just "Start Replacing Parts". Currently first the equipment required to diagnose OBD-II system signals are cost ranging from 10000 rupees.
