Public Works Department has a glorious history in the state. It has three wings, Roads & Buildings (R&B ), Water Resources (WR) and Drinking water supply sanitation (DWS) headed by one Chief Engineer in each wing. R & B wing of PWD is mainly entrusted with construction and maintenance of roads, bridges and government buildings. The department also acts as a technical advisor to the State Government.
