A pulse skipping control strategy is proposed to improve efficiency of grid-tied inverters at light loads. To maximize the efficiency of pulse skipping operation mode, three key parameters are identified and optimized based on a loss model, which is developed to find the maximal efficiency points using a three-dimensional search technique. Abstract

This paper presents a Buck-Boost converter using a MOSFET as a switch fed a dc series motor. The characteristics for step - up and down of the output voltage are studied. It is found that this system posses a good operation performance with a minimum ripple in the output of the motor current and voltage.
