INTRODUCTION

It s the new tallest tower in the world.

Construction began on 21 September 2004.

Height of the Tower is 828m(2717ft).

The total cost for the Burj Khalifa project was about US$1.5 billion.

The tower is designed to withstand high winds and seismic events.



INSPIRATION


Designers were motivated by the Hymenocallis genus's spidery, layered form.

The Burj al-Arab is a hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the third tallest hotel in the world; however, 39% of its total height is made up of non-occupiable space.
