An earring that flashes in synchronism with the wearer's heartbeat is introduced.The light emitting source flashes once for each heart beat A pulsed IR LED with photocell combination is built into an earring together with a comparator and a light-emitting source like an LED. The comparator determines the heart beat from the variation in the signal from the photocell and delivers a signal to a solid state switch which in turn turns on the light source.
