A new concept has emerged in the field of zero - emission vehicles : the cryogenic automobile . The cryogenic automobile uses nitrogen , stored in liquid state , as its working fluid . The liquid nitrogen is pressurized , then vaporized in an economizer through which the exhaust from the expander runs in counter flow . The resulting gaseous nitrogen is superheated in an ambient temperature gas which is injected into a quasi isothermal expander to produce the system ....etc

A micro-scale regenerative heat exchanger has been designed, optimized and fabricated for use in a micro-Stirling device. Novel design and fabrication techniques enabled the minimization of axial heat conduction losses and pressure drop, while maximizing thermal regenerative performance. The fabricated prototype is comprised of ten separate assembled layers of alternating metal-dielectric composite. Each layer is offset to minimize conduction losses and maximize heat transfer by boundary layer disruption. ....etc

Micro-channel heat exchanger(MCHX) has been increasingly applied in HVAC&R(Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) field due to its higher efficiently heat transfer rate, more compact structure, lower cost. The characteristics of micro-channel heat transfer and fluid dynamics are summarized in this paper. The methods about optimizations (ie, geometry and thermodynamic performance) and the advantages and disadvantages of the MCHX are analyzed.

Tar column recoiled E4509 in the phenol plant of HOCL found failed in service un like any other exchanger s in phenol manufacturing process .Each failure very high cost to HOCL in terms of production loss due to down time for maintence and due to the loss of therminol liquid to the process .the loss due to each failure found to be nearly RS 1.5 chore >the cost of tube bundle in SS-316 is ....etc
