YAMUNANAGAR: Asia's biggest sugar mill, Saraswati Sugar Mill here is facing a financial crisis due to the 'wrong' Central government policies. Sources said that a stock of sugar worth Rs 300 crore is lying in various godowns here.
V K Sachdeva, executive director of the mill, said that if the Central government does not change its policy of disposal of about one lakh bags of sugar per month, then the stock would continue to pile up and the sugar would be spoilt.
